Testing a New Reminder System for Dementia
What is this Study about?
This study aims to test a digital reminder system that helps people living with dementia manage their daily tasks. The system sends alerts when routines change — like when a task is missed — and allows caregivers to give feedback on how useful the alerts are. The goal is to improve how the system works in real-life caregiving situations. Information collected during the study will be used to improve the system's design and make it more helpful for caregivers and people living with dementia.
What Will Happen in This Study?
Participants will use the system daily for 4 to 8 weeks in their home. Researchers will help install the system and provide support. Caregivers will receive alerts and answer short questions about how accurate and helpful the system is. A 1-hour follow-up interview and survey will be done at the end. Both members of the caregiver-person living with dementia pair will take part.
