At the Alzheimer Society Rive-Sud, we are committed to ensuring the confidentiality of the personal information that we collect on this website.  The trust of the general public and the people with whom we do business is of utmost importance to us. We know that to maintain that trust, we must be accountable for the proper management of the information in our records.

In the course of our various activities, we frequently collect and use personal information. Anyone who provides us with this information expects it to be suitably protected.

Our privacy measures have been designed to meet these expectations. We do not rent or sell our mailing lists to anyone, nor do we trade them. Personal information encompasses any information that can be used to recognize, identify or contact a specific individual.

We are obligated to retain previous years' donation information and official donation receipt numbers as required by Canada Customs and Revenue Agency for audit purposes.

Our staff is only authorized to consult them for the purpose for which they were obtained.  Safeguards have been put in place to ensure that this information is not disclosed or shared for any other purpose.  We have also implemented measures to ensure that the integrity of this information is maintained and to prevent its loss or destruction.

The Alzheimer Society Rive-Sud makes every effort to preserve the confidentiality of the information it has on the people who benefit from its various programs. Beneficiaries know that the Alzheimer Society Rive-Sud only holds the personal information about them that was obtained with their consent.  In addition, it only communicates this information after notifying them and obtaining their authorization.

Website and eCommerce

The Alzheimer Society Rive-Sud collects personal information on its website for very specific reasons and always indicates the purpose for doing so.  For example, if you make a donation, we ask to obtain your name and address so that we can forward a receipt to you for tax purposes. Rest assured that the Alzheimer's Society Rive-Sud only collects and uses your personal information including your e-mail address for the purpose of responding to your request.

We use password protocols and cryptographic software to protect information, personal or otherwise, that is sent to us when requesting payments over the Internet. Our software is systematically updated to maximize the protection of such information.
