Exploring Support for Caregivers
We are inviting Simcoe County caregivers to participate in an Alzheimer Society Canada study titled “Exploring Service Availability and Support for Alzheimer’s Caregivers: An Asset Mapping and Co-Design Approach.”
This study aims to better understand the needs of Alzheimer’s caregivers at different stages of caregiving, and to collaborate with service providers to co-design practical tools that improve service delivery. Through this study we are looking to connect with and serve.
What Will Happen in This Study?
Participants will be involved in an interview describing their experiences caring for people living with Dementia at each of the caregiving stages. Some of the participants will also be involved in in-person focus group discussions, which will inform practical advice, tools, and products for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.
Duration: Approximately 1 hour
Participants will receive an honorarium of $25 CDN
Who is Eligible to Participate in this Study?
- Caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s or related dementias, especially those in stages such as:
- Monitoring initial symptoms.
- Navigating diagnosis.
- Assisting with daily living activities.
- Planning for future care.
- Service providers (e.g., healthcare professionals, social workers, home care aides, Community service providers (including admin) who support individuals in these stages.)
