Creative Spark 2024 artist showcase
Another two sessions of the Creative Spark program have come to a close, and the public is invited to see the work done by the artists.
The Creative Spark program is a partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County and the MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie.
The popular FREE program, led through MacLaren staff and volunteers, is small groups of people living with dementia, and their care partners, taking part in multi-week sessions to explore their creative side, using a variety of different art mediums. It could be painting, collage or sculpture.
At the end of each session, the public is invited to see the completed works.
The current Creative Spark program has generously been sponsored by the Catherine Booth and Michael Kirk Social Recreation Fund and the 100 Men Who Give a Damn- Innisfil chapter. We thank them for their contribution.
The public is invited to see the fall artwork showcase on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 3-4 p.m. The MacLaren Art Centre is located at 37 Mulcaster St.
