Matching Gift Campaign

Getting a day off to take a break to rest and relax is a common luxury for many people. For families who are living with dementia there is no day off from dementia. But with the help from their community, families living with dementia can get a much needed break.

Caregiver RX Matching Gift Campaign, Donate to double your impact

Our annual CaregiverRX Matching Gift Campaign is back!

All donations made between Tuesday, June 24 and Friday, September 19, during the campaign will be matched by our generous sponsors at Ground Effects LTD and the Scott Family Foundation, up to $75,000.

Please Act Now to Support Our Local Community Living with Dementia

Today, more than 750,000 Canadians are living with dementia; that number is expected to soar to 1 million by 2030. This isn’t just a statistic — it’s our parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbours.

In Windsor-Essex alone, it is estimated that over 9,100 people are affected in 2025. Behind each number is a family navigating the emotional, physical, and financial toll of this disease.

With your generous support, we can ensure that those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia — and the people who care for them — have access to critical resources, right here in our own community.

Your donation helps provide:

  • Personalized counselling
  • Respite care for caregivers
  • Support groups
  • Education programs
  • Connection to essential services

Caring for someone with dementia is a 24/7 job that rarely comes with time off or breaks. The Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County offers respite care 7 days a week to provide caregivers with a few hours to rest, relax, or, in many cases, free up a few hours to ‘get things done’.

During the CaregiverRx Matching Gift Campaign, your donation can provide twice as many respite hours and help deliver these wonderful people some much-needed relief.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, Ground Effects Ltd and the Scott Family Foundation, your donation will go twice as far!  These funds will go a long way to help deliver programs, services, support and respite to caregivers of persons living with dementia in Windsor and Essex County.
