Land Acknowledgement

The Alzheimer Society of York Region would like to acknowledge it operates on the traditional territories of the Wendat, the Haudenosaunee and the Anishinaabe peoples whose presence here continues to this day.
We would also like to acknowledge the land we are on is at the meeting place of two treaties, the lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and those of the First Nations of the Williams Treaty.  A traditional gathering place.
We acknowledge the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation, our closest First Nation community.
We honour York Region’s Indigenous people, ancestors, and future generations on this land that we share with reverence and humility.
