Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), for caregivers of people living with dementia, is an approach that has been shown to be effective for managing stress. This online program is by AS York and Sinai Health, Cyril & Dorothy, Joel & Jill Reitman Centre for Alzheimer's Support and Training.

Participants will learn mindfulness practices and tools for reducing stress and fostering well-being. The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program includes formal meditation practices and mindful movement exercises drawn from yoga, with options to modify movements and poses for comfort and safety. The course is eight weeks (May 12 to June 30 from  to 8:30 p.m.) There is a silent retreat for four hours on Saturday June 19. Orientation session takes place Monday, May 10 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. There will be reflection exercises and home practices required.
