French Language Services

We are dedicated to supporting people living with dementia and their care partners, by ensuring that language is never a barrier to accessing the care and assistance you deserve.

French Language Services

French Language Services are available to help people living with dementia, their families, and care partners access services in their primary language.

We offer education, social recreation programs and support in French.

Education

We offer a variety of Education sessions with topics that include:

  • Overview and progression of the disease
  • Understanding brain changes
  • Risks and safety planning
  • Communication
  • Options for Care
  • Community Resources

We also offer education to the public including health care providers and students to learn more about dementia, how to lower your risk and how to best support those living with dementia.

Our Dementia Friendly Communities training is also available in French for businesses and organizations to learn how to provide a safe and welcoming environment for those living with dementia in your community. Ideal for local businesses such as retailers, banks, restaurants, churches and more.

Support

Support is available in French to care partners and persons living with dementia. Support is offered one-on-one and in group settings for care partners and persons living with dementia. Support allows participants to learn more about the resources available and to connect with others living similar experiences.

Social Recreation Programs

Social recreation programs allow persons living with dementia and their care partners an opportunity to connect with others in a comfortable and safe social setting. These programs can improve mental and physical well-being for those living with dementia.
