Find Support in PEI

Living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia can be incredibly demanding and isolating for those with the disease and their care partners.

Our Support Groups provide a safe and supportive environment where you can learn, laugh, and help each other through mutual understanding.

Support Group

First Link® Learning Series

In depth education sessions to help people living with dementia, and their family members and friends to live as well as possible with the disease.

The sessions offered build upon each other to provide a comprehensive overview of Alzheimer's and other dementias and teach the skills needed to provide day to day care, understand changes in behaviour, personality, and communication, coping strategies, available resources and support, and care in the later stages.

First Link® is an innovative referral program designed to assist individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, as well as their families and care partners.

Volunteer Companion Program

One-on-one visiting program for people living with dementia. Offers socialization and meaningful activity to the individual with dementia while giving the caregiver opportunity for respite.

Dementia Care Training

Learn a positive approach to dementia care for healthcare providers. Create an inclusive and engaging environment for all, experience what it might feel like to have dementia, learn U-First! and PIECES principles with DCT 101 and 102. Virtual courses available!

Wellness, Connect & Care

The Wellness, Connect & Care program is open to all seniors and provides experiences of healthy active living, social connection, engaging activities, and health and wellness education. Join us for arts, music, games, storytelling, and discussion groups.
