Friendship Circle

This group offers a way for persons living with dementia, their care partners, family and friends to socialize, develop friendships and share their experiences from their dementia journey all while enjoying activities in the community.

Spots are limited, so be sure to register soon!

Friendship Circle is funded through the HelpAge Canada.

Minds in Motion®

Minds in Motion® is an 8-week program that combines gentle physical activity with social and cognitive stimulation for people living with dementia and their care partners. Each two-hour weekly session offers a chance to stay active, engage in fun activities, and build connections with others facing similar challenges.

Pole Walking

Our pole walking group offers a welcoming space for individuals of all fitness levels to get together to enjoy fresh air, gentle exercise and good company.

Exercise and Games Time

Join our virtual Exercise and Game Time program for a balanced session of gentle physical activity and fun cognitive games. Participants receive the access link upon registration and enjoy a mix of movement and brain-boosting activities in a friendly, interactive setting.

Music Project

The Alzheimer Society Music Project is designed for persons living with dementia. A personalized iPod is provided to the client along with earphones and a charging accessory. The goal of this project is to provide persons living with dementia a soundtrack to their lives to enhance their social and emotional well being. Minds in Motion® is a community-based social program that incorporates physical activity and mental stimulation for people with early to mid-stage signs of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and their care partners.
