Minds in Motion is for people living with early to mid-stage dementia and their care partners. The program is running virtually and is funded by Catherine Booth and Michael Kirk, family and friends of Tarik and Feroze Mohammed and Alzheimer Society of Ontario.

Care in the Later Stages, a virtual education session, helps people plan to provide quality-of-end-of-life care for people living with dementia.

AS York and Tech Coaches are working together to provide caregivers of those living with dementia information to help boost digital literacy. A two-part webinar took place in December, with a repeated program Jan. 13 and 20.

This virtual program is for caregivers of people living with dementia and includes an eight-week course and silent retreat.

AS York hosts a virtual book launch Jan. 20 to celebrate the release of its book Hearts Linked by Courage Honouring Loved Ones and Caregivers on the Dementia Journey and the authors who made the book possible. The book was funded by the Carswell Family Foundation.

Dementia expert Teepa Snow will be speaking to AS York guests three times in the new year.

The First Link® Memory Café Program is a collaborative program run by Mosaic
Home Care and Alzheimer’s Society York Region for those living with memory issues and
their caregivers. The workshops take place over Zoom.
