Research support award
The Research Support Program, supported by the Champigny-Robillard Fund is an initiative of the Federation of Quebec Alzheimer Societies. This program is open to master’s-level students.

Supported by the Champigny-Robillard Fund, the purpose of the award program is to support students enrolled in universities in Quebec, pursuing research projects aimed at advancing the state of knowledge aimed at improving quality of life, maintaining autonomy, and assisting individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other neurocognitive disorders.
Opening of the portal to submit an application: October 1, 2025
Deadline to submit: November 4, 2025 at 5 p.m.
Amount: $30,000 grant over 12 months
*The research award cannot be renewed and non-transferable
*Concurrent funding will not be permitted
Eligibility
Canadian citizens and permanent residents enrolled for less than one year in a master’s program from a recognized university in Quebec.
OR
International students who have completed at least two consecutive full-time semesters in Quebec (bachelor’s or master’s) AND who are currently enrolled in a master’s program in the province.
Selection criteria
- Excellence of the candidate’s academic record (45 points)
- Relevance and feasibility of the proposed project (50 points)
- Overall presentation of the application (5 points)
Submitting an application
Applications must be submitted through our online portal, which will be made available on October 1, 2025. Applications should be submitted in French. If the application is written in English, the project presentation in lay-language must be submitted in French.
Supporting documents :
- Copies of all transcripts are required for any university studies undertaken by a candidate, whether completed or not.
- Letter of recommendation from a professor or research supervisor.
Review process
An initial assessment will be carried out by the Federation of Quebec Alzheimer Societies (FQAS), which will verify the file’s integrity and evaluate the candidate’s academic transcripts.
Applications are then examined through a peer review process, namely, by a group of experts representing the different Quebec universities and relevant research areas.
Applications will receive a score based on a candidate’s scientific merit, the innovative nature of the project, its feasibility, and relevance to the aforementioned award’s objectives.
The awarded project will be selected from the three highest scoring applications, by a committee of Alzheimer Societies Executive Directors.
* Recipients must agree to present their research results in French or to find someone qualified to do so on their behalf.
