IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's

Save the date for our annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's at Brock University on Sunday, May 31, 2026! 

Walk 12,477 steps - one step for each person living with dementia in Niagara.

Get your steps in:

• On Walk Day (May 31)
• Every day of May leading up to Walk Day (if you're up for a challenge!)
• Collectively throughout the month of May
• Please note: Pets are not permitted during this event. Only Service Animals are allowed to be present.

Schedule

• 9:00 am: Registration opens; Wellness Fair opens
• 10:30 am: Registration closes; Opening Ceremony begins; Warm up and Walk to follow
• 11:00 am: Wellness Fair closes

This year's Walk will take place both indoors and outdoors, with a small portion veering into a flat, concrete, accessible, outdoor area (weather permitting). • 1st place: $500 Canadian Tire gift card sponsored by Right at Home Canada
• 2nd place: $125 Bugsy’s Gift Certificate

• 1st place: Use of the Community Suite for 14 people to attend a Niagara IceDogs 2026-27 regular season game at the Meridian Centre. Includes light snacks and beverages. Sponsored by Meridian Credit Union.

Wellness Fair

Join multiple community organizations and businesses as they showcase their wellness products, services and activities on Walk Day. Receive a stamp at each booth and you could win a prize!

The Wellness Fair will be available from 9:00 am - 11:00 am in the Guernsey Market at Brock University.

Walk in a Box

Host your own Walk for Alzheimer's this Spring with our Walk in a Box!⁠

In conjunction with the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's on Sunday, May 31st, our Walk in a Box allows groups, organizations, and schools to host their own Walk for Alzheimer's at a date and time that works best for them and their community.⁠

Each "Walk in a Box" kit includes helpful tips and tools to help you organize a successful event. This kit includes things such as a host guide, pledge forms, posters, balloons, stickers, certificates, cut outs and templates.⁠
