Delirium, an acute change in confusion, is a common condition that can affect older individuals with existing changes in cognition. It can be a medical emergency. Dr. Searle will discuss recognizing delirium signs, what they mean, and what you can do about them.
Dr. Searle is an assistant professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Dalhousie University. A product of Atlantic Canada, Dr. Searle trained at Dalhousie University, where he obtained his internal medicine residency and subspecialty in geriatric medicine. He has published on dementia and frailty and has a special interest in acute illness and the interplay of frailty.
