Meet our team
Sandra Parker, First Link Coordinator
Hi! My name is Sandra Parker and a First Link Coordinator in the Chaleur region and Acadian Peninsula. After having taken a career path as a hairdresser back in 2008, I decided I needed a change and wanted to work more closely with people in a profession where I can help them. That decision led me to completing my Personal Support Worker course in 2015 at Oulton College. I worked in various nursing homes throughout my career and greatly enjoyed the bonds I formed with residents as well as families. There is no greater joy to me than feeling like I have made someone’s day a little brighter. Throughout my career as a Personal Support Worker, I had the privilege of working with many people who were affected by dementia. Seeing all sides of how this condition affects people made me want to do more to help the families and those living with dementia. I have a passion for spreading awareness about the condition and getting the word out about how the ASNB can help! I look forward to serving and helping my community!
Milaine Thibodeau, First Link Coordinator
Hello! My name is Milaine Thibodeau. I am the First Link Coordinator here in the Acadian Peninsula and Chaleur region. I am here to support people affected by dementia. My role is also to facilitate programs, give presentations and build relationships in the community.
I live in the charming little village of Rivière-du-Portage, about 10 minutes from Tracadie. I was a care worker for more than ten years, following which I took an online course in Gerontology at l’Université Laval. I really like studying and would like to learn more about helping the public.
My past experiences have given me a deep sense of empathy. The Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick’s cause is close to my heart, I want to help the progression of a healthy future!
