The 9th annual Pauline Spatz Leadership Award was presented to Noémie Chiasson of Moncton, NB. A remarkable volunteer, student, and community leader, Noémie has dedicated countless hours to supporting people affected by dementia and uplifting her community through her compassion, energy, and quiet yet powerful leadership.
About Noémie Chiasson
Noémie began volunteering with the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick in 2019 and quickly became an essential member of our Moncton Resource Centre team. Known for her reliability, dedication, and willingness to step in wherever needed, she has contributed to numerous initiatives, including the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s planning committee, holiday card campaigns for residents of long-term care homes, and a variety of administrative tasks.
Beyond her volunteer work with the Alzheimer Society, Noémie balances her second year in the Doctor of Medicine program at the Université de Sherbrooke with a Master’s in Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at Université Laval. She is also an athlete and long-time volunteer in the skating community, currently serving as an official with Skate Canada New Brunswick.
