Executive Director, Dementia Supportive Communities
We are pleased to announce that Christene Gordon M Sci., BFA, B.Ed will be stepping into the role of Executive Director, Dementia Supportive Communities.
This new role and portfolio will provide strategic oversight of the Society’s advocacy efforts and support initiatives and community partnerships that will help improve the quality of life for people living with dementia. This is a critical role for the Society given that we expect the number of individuals diagnosed to increase significantly over the next 25 years.
Christene has been with the Society for over twenty years in various leadership roles and delivering consistent, person-centered programs and partnerships. Christene has made significant contributions to the Society through her leadership of the Client Services team and securing critical program funding, among her many other achievements.
Her expert knowledge in community, dementia, and education combined with her dedication to a person-centred approach makes Christene critical to the success of this portfolio and broadening the Society’s visibility amongst donors and the diverse communities we serve.
