Mick Nieman Memorial Golf Tournament
Sisters, Nicole Ambrosi and Wendy Weiss, started the Mick Nieman Memorial Golf Tournament in 2020 to raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories in memory of their dad who passed away from Alzheimer’s disease in 2014.
On Saturday, August 7, 2021, the family of the beloved late Mick Nieman, hosted their second annual charity golf tournament in his honour in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Sisters Nicole Ambrosi and Wendy Weiss started the tournament in 2020 to raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories in memory of their dad who passed away from Alzheimer’s disease in 2014.
The sold-out golf portion of the event was held at Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course, followed by an evening of comradery over dinner, an auction and raffles hosted at Ralph’s Texas Bar & Steakhouse.
“It is a fundraiser and that’s important in honouring our dad, but it’s really too about bringing the community together and the people that are there. That’s really important to us because that’s a legacy we can continue on for our dad, just bringing people together in the community to have fun, lean on one another and support one another.” – Wendy Weiss, daughter of Mick Nieman
