ASO Advocacy College
This grassroots advocacy course is designed to turn concerned staff, clients, and the general public into effective advocates to help build a more dementia friendly Ontario.
Through four interactive modules, participants will explore how government policy affects dementia care, and develop skills to influence such policies and drive change at the provincial level.
Participants will learn more about:
- What advocacy is and why we advocate
- Planning advocacy goals
- Navigating the political system through audience targeting and strategic advocacy communications
- Organizing effective meetings with decision-makers
- Being an assertive and resilient advocate
