「關愛腦友記」慈善晚宴 | Charity Dinner for Alzheimer's

我們衷心感謝各界社區人士支持今年的「關愛腦友記」慈善晚宴！晚宴已於 2026 年 2 月 28 日（星期六）在列治文幸運海鮮酒樓圓滿舉行，超過 400 位嘉賓聚首一堂，攜手支持卑詩省及育空地區阿茲海默症協會，為受腦退化影響的人士及其家屬送上關懷與希望。

在各位善長、贊助商、義工及社區伙伴的慷慨支持下，晚宴成功籌得善款，支持協會繼續提供教育和資源支持受腦退化影響的患者及其家屬，同時資助腦退化研究。

在卑詩省，有超過 85,000 人患有腦退化，而在未來 30 年，腦退化患者的數目將大幅增加。

雖然現時仍未有根治腦退化的方法，但透過健康飲食，我們可以維持腦部功能，並減慢記憶力衰退。基於這個理念，今年的晚宴特別邀請了著名演員及名廚黃淑儀 Gigi Wong 擔任我們的菜式顧問，與籌委會共同設計充滿心思及新年寓意的晚宴餐單。Gigi姐把她全手工自家製的「黑金醬」融入菜式之中，配合營養豐富的食材，為賓客帶來色香味俱全的佳餚，與大家一同分享健康飲食的重要性。

晚宴節目非常豐富，包括無聲拍賣及互動遊戲。適逢農曆新年，我們亦邀請了財神和舞獅到訪，一同慶祝馬年的來臨及為善長送上祝福。

我們藉此機會向賓客介紹協會的資訊及服務，例如支援服務及教育項目等，提高社區對腦退化的認識與關注，同時鼓勵善長捐款支持我們的工作。 

特別感謝一班無名氏善長、林氏家庭及林氏家族的慷慨支持，首五萬元的捐款得到一對一的捐款配對，令善款帶來雙倍效果。

下一屆「關愛腦友記」慈善晚宴將於 2027 年 2 月 7 日（星期日）舉行，詳情將稍後公佈。

We sincerely thank all the community members for supporting 2026 Charity Dinner for Alzheimer's! The Charity Dinner was successfully held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Continental Seafood Restaurant in Richmond, bringing together more than 400 guests in support of the Alzheimer Society of BC and the Yukon, offering care and hope to people living with dementia and their families.

With the support of donors, sponsors, volunteers and community partners, the event was able to raise funds to help us continue providing education, resources and support services for people affected by dementia, while supporting dementia research.

Currently, more than 85,000 people are living with dementia in BC and the Yukon, and this number continues to increase. 

Although there is no cure for dementia, a healthy diet can help maintain brain health and slow down cognitive decline. With that in mind, this year’s Charity Dinner invited renowned actress and celebrity chef Gigi Wong as our menu consultant. Together with the organizing committee, they designed a thoughtful menu with a Lunar New Year theme. Gigi also incorporated her handmade signature “Black Gold Sauce” into some of the dishes, pairing it with nutritious ingredients to create delicious cuisine while sharing the importance of healthy eating with our guests.

The evening featured a variety of programs, including a silent auction and interactive games. In celebration of Lunar New Year, we also welcomed the God of Fortune and a lion dance performance to celebrate the Year of the Horse and bring blessings to our guests.

The event also provided the opportunity to introduce the Society’s work, including support services and education, to raise awareness and understanding of dementia within the community and encourage donations to support our work.

Thanks to Friends of the Society — a group of generous, anonymous donors — and L. Lam & Family and The Lam Family, all donations made in support of the event were matched, dollar for dollar, up to a grand total match of $50,000. 

We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all sponsors, community and media partners, donors and supporting organizations for their contributions and unwavering support in caring for people affected by dementia and their families alongside us.

The next Charity Dinner for Alzheimer's will take place on Sunday, February 7, 2027. Stay tuned for more details.
