Alzheimer Society of B.C. releases new research publication
A focus on research covers B.C.’s biggest dementia research news of 2024
Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and that world begins with a society where people affected by dementia are welcomed, supported and included. Research is key to making this vision a reality.
Research provides hope and improves quality of life for people living with dementia as well as their families and care partners. Bridging research and community and moving dementia research forward is an important part of our mission. As part of this work, we produce A focus on research, an annual research publication.
This publication is for anyone who wants to learn more about dementia research, whether you’re living with dementia, helping to care for someone who is, working in healthcare or are just interested in knowing more.
This year’s A focus on research includes:
- Highlights of the remarkable B.C. researchers and innovative quality-of-life projects we support.
- Dementia research news stories of the year.
- Tips for reading about research, and more.
