Applauding volunteers from across the Society this National Volunteer Week

British Columbia

We’re grateful for all the volunteers across the organization whose constant dedication furthers our work for British Columbians affected by dementia. From administrative support, to photography and advisory committees, thank you to the volunteers who provide so much unseen support for people affected by dementia.

Titania Chan, Support & Education Coordinator, First Link®, shares: “Volunteers are our buddy shadows who walk back-to-back with us. They are there wherever we go and whatever we do. They are no doubt the behind-the-scene superheroes! Thanks, buddies, for the unconditional and untiring support you provide to make a truly dementia-friendly community for all.”

Thank you for celebrating National Volunteer Week with us and to everyone who shared their experiences and thoughts with us. The work of our volunteers in supporting British Columbians affected by dementia is as important as ever. By sharing the work and efforts of our volunteers over the week, we hope these stories have left you feeling connected and inspired.
