How does living with dementia affect your financial health?

  • Date: Wednesday, September 18, 2024
  • Time: 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. PT

If you know you’re living with dementia or are concerned about having the disease, what are the conversations you should be having with your financial advisor? For some, your income needs will change with higher care expenses and this may potentially impact your Old Age Security (OAS) payments. For others, your time horizon may have shortened, and you may need to adjust your investments and reduce financial risk.

Ensure you and your financial advisor have the proper safeguards in place to protect your wishes in the event of future incapacity (Power of Attorney, Trusted Contact Person, beneficiaries, firm policies). Dementia can significantly impact your financial health, but it doesn’t have to – in this session, we will walk through some real-life scenarios of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

This webinar is for caregivers and people living with dementia, empowering attendees with the knowledge and tips to get started in protecting their financial future.
