The Alzheimer Society of Canada is proud to collaborate with Toronto Metropolitan University's Master of Nutrition program as part of its 2025 capstone project. Initiated through outreach from the School of Nutrition, this partnership brings together graduate students and the Society to support the nutritional well-being of people living with dementia and their care partners. From January to July 2025, students worked closely with members of the Alzheimer Society of Canada's Advisory Group—comprised of persons living with dementia and care partners, through many conversations—gathering feedback on a monthly basis to guide the development of a dementia-friendly Toolkit. The final resource is a simplified, easy-to-follow Toolkit designed specifically with the needs of this community in mind, offering accessible recipes that support independence, dignity and enjoyment in the kitchen. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to creating practical, evidence-informed tools that promote quality of life through nutrition.

You can also download a version of this toolkit in PDF format and print at your own convenience.
