Why Curt Koethler Believes in Research

A man in a green button-up shirt, jeans, and glasses is smiling.

"My life is full, and I am still doing things that I enjoy in life thanks to the Alzheimer Society.

They are doing great work. Work that is made possible by research.”

Curt Koethler is 54 years old. He is a father of three children who enjoys going to football games, getting together with friends, fishing, tennis, and walking his dog.

Curt has also been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Curt knows that research is the key to living well with dementia and to finding better care, treatments, and a cure.

“Donations are important. We need to do more research. People with dementia like me need support.”

Our Key Holders in Unlocking Dementia Research

“I’ve seen firsthand how both early onset and later stage Alzheimer’s disease has forever changed the way one manages simple everyday living. It’s my hope that someday, with a breakthrough in research, we can reverse the effects of it."

- Herbert Wheaton, Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan donor

The Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan is committed to raising $4 million to support research that will help people with dementia – and their care partners – to live their best life possible.

Our donors hold the key to unlocking important dementia research.

Thank you to everyone who has donated and demonstrated their commitment to unlocking dementia research. Your gift provides help for today and hope for tomorrow.
