Stress is a natural part of life, and not all stress is harmful. But when stress becomes chronic and overwhelming, it can have serious effects on our brain, potentially increasing the risk of cognitive decline.The good news? There are preventative steps you can take now to protect your brain.

Learning Series
The Learning Series helps people with dementia, their families and friends to live as well as possible with the disease. The courses offered build upon each other to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of dementia, coping strategies, available resources and support. Participants have the opportunity to learn and share with others who are affected by dementia.

Minds in Motion®
Minds in Motion® is an evidence-based program that includes physical exercise, social and mind-stimulating activities for people living with early stage dementia to attend with a care partner.

IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's

Join the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan and participate in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's – Canada’s largest fundraiser dedicated to helping people living with dementia, their families, friends and care partners.
In-person Walks take place in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and Swift Current.
Plus Walk Your Way and Walk in a Box options to participate your way, from wherever you are.

Coffee and Chat
For people with dementia and their care partners. This is NOT a Support Group, but an opportunity for you to check in with each other. Make yourself comfortable, grab a cup of coffee or tea and join some of the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan staff and peers online to say ‘hello’ and let us know how you are doing.

Please note: Due to privacy and confidentiality, we will not be able to address personal client matters during the chat, but will be happy to connect you with a First Link Coordinator or Client Services Team Manager who will be able to support you.

The Alzheimer Society offers support groups for people with dementia and caregivers that can improve quality of life and the ability to cope with the challenges of the disease.

If you are unwell and have symptoms including, but not limited to, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat and/or headache, please refrain from attending Alzheimer Society programs or events to reduce the spread of illness.
If you or a member of your household has a contagious disease, has tested positive for COVID-19, or you suspect you may have an illness, please do not attend Alzheimer Society programs or events.
